Question by Amanda Papagorgio: What kind of wedding speech should I write?
I am the Maid Of Honor in my cousin’s wedding tomorrow, and I am still unsure of the type of speech I should give at the Reception. I have had one written for almost 6 months now and it is kind of funny. I am not super close with my cousin so therefore it is slightly awkward for me to write or even read some deep thoughful quote about love, when I am not that type of person. Although, I think my cousin would be slightly disappointed if I decided to go funny instead of sweet. I am conflicted. Anyone have suggestions?

the best suggestion i can give you is, if you have hung out with your cousin alot, then bring up the past memories and sway it into the sweet direction:) dont worry your speech will rock! cause it will come from the heart, take a bit of your funny speech and tie it in with the times you guys hung out and stuff tie in ur family!

This is not called a speech, it is called a toast.
You can’t go wrong with making it funny. However, you should not embarrass her or her new husband by saying something rude or inappropriate. Also, don’t make it too long. You don’t want to bore the guests. Look online for some inspiration.
