I gave my father’s eulogy and it was one of the best things I ever did.

The best objective to have is to try to capture his character. You may want to mention the roles he played in people’s lives. If he had special talents, you should talk about those. It is always good to share an anecdote that really captures him. Think of the qualities of this man that really makes him stand out. If you have writer’s block, think of it not as a eulogy, but as an essay on what a special man your grandfather was.

Don’t be nervous, and don’t worry about crying. If you do, take a deep breath, compose yourself, take your time and then continue. Everyone understands.

I am sure your grandfather would be very proud of you. I wish you the best of luck.

When I think of my grandfather (name) I instantly feel up with pride
So you can only imagine the pain that I felt when my grandfather died
The times we shared,the laughs, the hugs and the love in every story he told.
These lasting memories, those loving moments will always be forever in my soul
So as I stand before my loving family and wonderful friends and wipe away my final tear
The spirit of grandfather lives in all of us so he will eternally always be near
So grieve awhile if grief you must
but let your grief be comforted with trust
So go grandfather peacefully into your eternal rest
God has called on you and He knows best
I love you so much but my pain will past
Knowing you are resting in peace, no pain at last
